Working together looks different for everyone.

Some people come with something specific they want to work through. Others are looking for ongoing support over time.

Counselling helps you recognise your strengths and skills, reduce distress, work through crises, and build resilience. It also supports you to set goals and strengthen your overall wellbeing, and can bring a deeper understanding of your own behaviours, choices, and decisions.

My approach is humanistic and person-centred, integrating Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based frameworks. Through this work, I support people to deepen their self-awareness, clarify what matters, and feel empowered to create meaningful, lasting change.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. Everything you share stays between us. The only exception is if there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, in which case I have a legal and ethical obligation to act. This will always be explained clearly at the outset.

  • Please give at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule, excluding weekends. Cancellations within 48 hours incur 50% of the session fee. Cancellations within 24 hours, same day, or no-shows incur the full session fee.

  • Counsellors are not currently eligible to provide Medicare-rebated sessions in Australia. Some private health funds do offer rebates for counselling, so it's worth checking with your provider. Sessions are $150.

  • No, you don’t. You can book directly without seeing a GP first. No referral, no paperwork, no waitlist.

  • Both support mental health and wellbeing, but the training pathways differ. Psychologists hold a postgraduate degree in psychology and can access Medicare rebates. Counsellors take a holistic, relationship-centred approach. Neither is inherently better — it comes down to what you're looking for and what feels right for you.

  • Not at all. Many people come to counselling not because something is falling apart, but because they want to understand themselves better, work through a transition, or simply feel less stuck. You don't have to wait until things get hard.

  • We take it at your pace. We'll talk through what's brought you here, what you'd like to get from our work together, and begin to get a sense of what you're working with. There's no pressure to share everything at once.

  • It's different for everyone. Some people prefer a focused block of sessions around a specific issue. Others find longer-term support more useful. We'll figure out what makes sense for you as we go, and you're never locked into anything.

  • Weekly sessions tend to work well, particularly at the start. As things shift, we can adjust the frequency to suit you.

  • It's different for everyone and depends on what you're working through. Some people notice a shift after just a few sessions. For others, change is more gradual. What tends to matter most is consistency and showing up openly to the work.

  • Progress looks different for everyone. Some people notice they're thinking more clearly, feeling less reactive, or handling situations differently. Others find that things that once felt heavy start to feel more manageable. It's something we check in on together as we go.

  •  Yes. Online sessions are available via Google Meet and work well for most people. In-person sessions are available in Bondi.

  • Not at all. Many people come to counselling for the first time with no idea what to expect, and that's completely fine. We go at your pace and there's no prior experience needed.

  • Sessions are conversational and collaborative. We'll explore what's going on for you, work towards understanding it more clearly, and build practical tools you can use beyond the session. It won't feel clinical - it'll feel like a real conversation with somewhere to go.

  • It matters that you feel comfortable. If after a session or two it doesn't feel right, that's okay. I'd rather you find someone who works for you, and I'm happy to help point you in a direction if needed.
